Through frameworks such as SAMR and TPCK, digital technologies have the power to redefine the way in which learning tasks are conducted, enabling you to learn anywhere at any time, to show your learning in different ways, to engage you in higher order thinking skills and learn at your own pace through collaboration and participation in authentic learning experiences.
The socially constructivist classroom is predominantly student centred, where you spend more time participating in your learning and much less time listening to teacher delivered curriculum. Consider your experience as a learner: · How do you best process information and turn it into knowledge (i.e. learn)? · Think of a unit that you enjoyed. How did you learn in this unit? · What learning tasks, skills, strategies or situations best supported you to pass a test; for example, a driving test? Why? |
